English Correspondance
Comment - Graduate school is sending out mostly letters in Hebrew although the English-speaking population is larger.
Answer - The "Mainframe" system is capable of producing letters in Hebrew only. An interim solution was developed several years ago for Mainframe correspondence.
With the transition to the MISKAL system, this problem will be solved, since all correspondence will be produced in Hebrew and English by default.
Technion Regulations
Comment - The Technion's graduate school regulations are scattered in various links, making it quite cumbersome to find the most updated and relevant regulation.
Answer - A designated website housing all graduate school's regulations was aired a couple of years ago. The regulations are divided according to departments. All graduates can access this website.
Additionally, the website contains ad-hoc regulations, for example, all regulations concerning the present "Iron Swords" war are currently puvlished on the website. The relevant notification was sent to all faculties' graduate studies administrators.

GTIIT
Comment - The work with the academic coordinators in China is very cumbersome since they do not have authorization to view students' academic data
Answer - The graduate school is currently looking for an academic coordinator, who will have permission to view students' academic data. Upon manning this position, all the relevant graduate school administrators will meet up with the new coordinator and will therefore devise proper guidelines for working with the China campus.
Letters' Templates
Comment - The graduate school should create a repository of documents, such as letters of recommendation, from which it will be possible to submit all funds.
Answer - Documents required for submission are based on the foundations' guidelines. The latter are highly divergent in terms of their requirements.
Regarding a database of letters of recommendation: foundations want to receive custom-tailored letters of recommendation, therefore we are sorry to state it is not possible to use a letter from a general repository.
Social Challenges
Comment - There are hardly any programs targeting graduate students or postdocs, especially international ones.
Answer - Postdocs affairs are not handled by the Office of the Academic Staff. The Technion International Office is responsible for non-academic activities and offers social activities for international students. For example, the International Office held an orientation day for international graduate students in January. Also, instructors of the International Office are in contact with both the Graduate School and the relevant faculty. The instructors assist international students from the moment of their admission and throughout their studies and research on campus.
In addition, the Students' Dean's Office holds a variety of activities throughout the year, including meetings, workshops, trips, and holiday celebrations. These activities are open to all international students.
